Filling the kalash at the Gangotri ghat
Our story
A drop of the Ganga, for every home that needs one.
Not everyone can make the journey
For millions of families, Gangajal is part of every important moment — a griha pravesh, a wedding, a naming ceremony, the daily puja at home. Traditionally, someone would bring it back from a pilgrimage to Haridwar or Kashi.
But families live further from the river than ever, and not everyone can make the journey. The Holy Drop was started to bring Gangajal from the most sacred places along the Ganga to any home in India — collected respectfully, sealed at the source and labelled honestly.
What you can expect from us
Honest sourcing
Every bottle says exactly where its water was collected. We never mix sources or sell tap water as Gangajal.
Sealed at the source
Water is filtered for sediment and sealed on the spot with a tamper-evident cap, so it reaches you untouched.
Respect for the river
We collect small quantities, leave no plastic behind at the ghats and use recyclable packaging wherever we can.
One river, five sacred places
We collect Gangajal at five places that hold special meaning along the river’s 2,500 km journey: Gangotri near its glacial source, Rishikesh and Haridwar where it leaves the Himalaya, the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj, and the ghats of Kashi.
Choose the place that means the most to your family — or bring all five home with our Pancha Tirtha gift set.
